Type VX includes a serial port and PC card slot to allow porting of existing assets. It also has five USB ports, located on both sides and the back of the computer for ease of use, as well as an HDMI port and analog RGB port for connecting a projector or large display.

The built-in brightness sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the LCD according to the level of ambient light, without using the ECO button.
